Brie-Comte-Robert, the historic capital of the Brie region, has preserved some beautiful heritage from its rich past, including three listed historic monuments: the feudal château, Saint-Etienne church and the Gothic facade of the Hôtel-Dieu (old hospital).
The late 12th-century Château de Brie-Comte-Robert is surrounded by moats and beautiful fortified walls flanked with towers. The Heritage Interpretation Centre located in the seigneurial house retraces the history and construction of the castle through a collection of objects from archaeological excavations.
The Gothic Saint-Etienne church features beautiful stained glass windows, including a remarkable rose window dating from the 13th century that depicts Christ in Majesty, the 12 apostles and 12 months of the year.
The small town of Brie-Comte-Robert also has many green spaces to relax in.
