Built from 1890 to 1896, the 662-metre Briare aqueduct connects the Loire side canal to the Briare canal, crossing over the Loire river. Biggest metal canal bridge in France, this magnificent work can really seduce sailors and walkers with its waterway lined with pavements and elegant lampposts, and its beautiful view of the Loire river and its banks.
