Protected by its natural harbour, the city of Brest boasts a maritime and military port. Of its medieval period, the city has preserved its castle of the 11th century, modified by Vauban, and its Motte-Tanguy tower, home to the Old Brest museum. Reconstructed after the war, the town centre architecture dates from the fifties.

Océanopolis, oceans and the maritime animals discovery park, allows to travel around the world of the various seas thanks to its three detached houses: polar, mild and tropical. Fans of huge aquariums will be in heaven!

Every four years, the international festival of the Sea and Sailors collects a multitude of traditional sailboats coming from all over the world.
