Built in the 12th century by the hermit monks of the Order of Chalais and occupied today by a religious community, Notre-Dame de Boscodon abbey is located near the village of Crots a few kilometres from Serre-Ponçon lake. In an exceptional natural setting at the edge of Boscodon forest, it consists of a delightful Romanesque church and stone abbey buildings. The whole group is roofed in larch shingle, which adds to the charm of the place.
