Produced in the plateaus of Upper Jura, in the departments of Ain and Jura, Bleu de Gex is an AOC cheese (Appellation of Controlled Origin) with an uncooked, unpressed blue centre. Matured for at least three weeks, this blue cheese is made from unpasteurised cow's milk and has a subtle flavour that is both smooth and creamy.
Delicious served with a slice of farmhouse bread and a glass of Jura wine, Bleu de Gex is also ideal for making dishes such as blue cheese tart, Jura raclette, blue cheese sauce or blue cheese soufflé.
