Situated in the Morvan Regional Nature Park, the summit of the Beuvray mount is home to the remains of the Gallic oppidum of Bibracte. Along the stroll, the walker can discover progressively the Rebout gateway, the Pâture du Couvent and its monumental pond, the houses of the Horses Park, and the Saint-Pierre fountain. Besides its remarkable archeological site and its magnificent forest of beeches, the Beuvray mount, reaching 821 metres at its highest point, also offers a wonderful panorama on the surrounding countryside. On the hillsides of the mount, the Bibracte museum is dedicated to the Celtic civilization. | LOCALISATION IN SAÔNE-ET-LOIRE | | | |
