The city of Bellac is particularly photogenic and harmonious, with its old bridge spanning the peaceful waters of the Vincou river, and its hilltop houses snuggling up around the Notre-Dame church. The latter is home to the most ancient reliquary of Limousin. Worth a visit: Jean Giraudoux's birth house, which is home to numerous documents and recollections of the famous writer.
