At the heart of Nivernais, the Bec d'Allier, a Natura 2000 listed protected territory, is the place where the waters of the Loire blend in with the waters of the Allier. Made up of alluvial forests, natural prairies, erosion cliffs and sand banks, this Natural Area of Ecological, Floristic and Faunistic Interest can be enjoyed in peace from the panoramic viewpoint at Marzy, or from the Passier path. This pedestrian trail starts from Gimouille harbour and was designed in partnership with the WWF. It is dotted with educational signs and posts about the natural environments, fauna and flora of the Bec d'Allier.
