This tradition dates from the XVIIth century, with the creation in 1664 of the tapestry royal factory. It is only in 1989, after the destruction of the buildings in 1940 that the national tapestry factory workshops were reinstalled to Beauvais. Near the cathedral, the tapestry national gallery is home to temporary exhibitions. |
