Built from the 13th to the 16th centuries, the unfinished Gothic Saint-Pierre cathedral is famous for its chancel – the highest in France! Inside the cathedral there are magnificent stained-glass windows and an astronomical clock boasting 90,000 parts, 15 motors and 52 faces.

The former episcopal palace of Beauvais today houses the Oise Départemental Museum dedicated to archaeology and art (sculptures, paintings and ceramics). There are old houses of interest near the Gallo-Roman ramparts, like the François 1st house dating from the 15th century.
