The tradition of bobbin lace in Bayeux, a medieval town in the Bessin area, dates from the 18th century. Entirely devoted to bobbin lace, the Lace conservatoire situated in the historic centre of the city is a workshop that perpetuates the know-how of traditional lacemakers.
