Covering three regions (Alsace, Franche-Comté, Lorraine) and four départements (the Haut-Rhin, the Haute-Saône, the Vosges, the Territoire de Belfort), the park of the Ballons des Vosges extends over 3000 km². The Vosges massif offers a series of mountains landscapes, round-topped mountains (ballons) and alpine pastures (hautes chaumes). The highest peak of this magnificent protected area is situated at the Grand Ballon, at an altitude of 1,424 metres.

With its numerous paths and its beautiful landscapes, the reserve will delight walkers and nature lovers.
