The town of Bailleul, several times destroyed during its history, was splendidly rebuilt after the first world war. The Grand'Place square, with a typical Flemish architecture, is full of charm, with its beautiful houses, its town hall of neo-Flemish style, and its imposing bell tower 62 metres high. The latter is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and possesses a carillon with 35 bells. From the top, the view of the plain and mountains of Flanders is magnificent!
