Spreading accross two départements, the Cantal and Puy de Dôme, the park includes four volcanic massifs, which formed several million years ago: the Puys mountain range, the mounts Cantal, the Cézallier plateau and Dore mountains. The park also boasts an old granite plateau: Artense. Lakes, peat bogs and gorges are also part of the landscape. |
