32 kilometres of spectacular gorges between Saint-Martin-d'Ardèche and Vallon-Pont-d'Arc. It is since more than hundred million years that waters of the Ardèche river dug a very deep and tortuous canyon. The result is magnificent: High cliffs made of limestone from 200 to 300 metres in heights in a nature remained wild. Very beautiful viewpoints are on the road going along the gorges. At the very bottom of the cliffs, it is possible to rent canoes or kayaks. There are also numerous campsites, which undoubtedly boosts tourism. |
