Marvel of the Renaissance period, the Anet castle was built in the XVIth century by the architect Philibert Delorme for Diane of Poitiers, the favourite of king Henri II.

Once past the entrance gate featuring a clock, the visitor discovers alternately the main courtyard, the left wing of the castle with the room of Diane de Poitiers, the cryptoportic looking onto the gardens, the castle chapel and the funeral chapel of Diane de Poitiers, and the charming park along the canal.
