The royal lodge is home to a prestigious collection of Gothic and Renaissance furniture. The visit notably allows discovering the council room, the tambourineurs room, as well as Empire lounges. After the discovery of the castle inside, the gardens and the terrace are true viewpoints with an open view of the Loire valley. Situated at the edge of the ramparts, the Saint-Hubert chapel is a magnificent testimony of late Gothic art that is home to the grave of Léonard de Vinci. Not far from the castle appears the silhouette of the Clos-Lucé manor house, the last residence of Léonard de Vinci, which exhibits today models and creations of the famous artist inventor. Built in the 18th century at the request of the Choiseul duke, the Chanteloup pagoda stands three kilometres away from the city of Amboise in a beautiful green surrounding at the border of a forest. From the top of this Chinese-inspired construction, the panorama of the landscapes of the Loire valley is magnificent. From June to August, the night-spectacle "A la Cour du Roy François" is offered in the Amboise castle.
