Soufflenheim, a city of North Ried, is famous for its cooking pottery with floral decoration. This is where kougelhopf cake moulds are made, but also plates with typically Alsatian decorations, salad bowls, and baeckeoffe casserole dishes.
The potters village of Betschdorf is famous for salt-glazed stoneware craft pottery, traditional creations with blue decorations. The pottery museum of Betschdorf exhibits collections and looks back at the history of pottery from the Gallo-Roman period to our days.
In September, there is a pottery festival in Betschdorf (even years) and in Soufflenheim (odd years).
