• Origin and History:

• Its origin is lost in the time of the first Gauls. Iciodorum derived from the name of Yzeure has two possible translations: itio is a person's name, and Dorum personifies a small village town of Itius. Icio, itio, Iccio is an adjective Gallic related to water, and the door is Dorum within the meaning of the passage: the Gauls spoke of "water pass" when we say "running water".
• The occupation of the site is attested by the presence of several villages and Gallo-Roman potters active pharmacies 1st and 3rd century. • Castle Panloup, street Cladets: Elegant mansion with 18th century towers turrets stand gracefully on the trees in the park that surrounds it. The door to the chapel is surmounted by a lintel saddleback 12th or 13th century representing the Paschal Lamb. The castle belongs to the polychrome brick city and serves exhibition spaces and childcare for home entertainment. The exterior can be visited freely.
• Château de Bellevue, rue Emile Guillaumin or rue Aristide Briand: On top of a hill, it offers, as its name suggests, a nice view of the pool Moulinois. This imposing edifice built between 1881 and 1882 was originally a private school run by the Jesuits. Hospital during the First World War, it became the property of the department of Allier in 1946 and hosts for many administrations.
• The Park, 225 RD: It was originally a simple country house. It was bought by the Duchess Anne de Beaujeu (1461-1522), daughter of King Louis XI, wife of the Duke of Bourbon and Pierre second regent of the Kingdom of France from 1483 to 1491, in order to rest.
