Wettolsheim is a town of 1721 inhabitants, located 5 km south-west of Colmar. It lies at the foot of the vineyard is dominated by the famous ruins: the Hohlandsbourg, the Three Castles, and nestled in the forest, Hagueneck.
"Wetelsheim" appears for the first time in texts in 1211, but the village dates back to colonial times Frankish. The length of the village is evidenced by the presence on the former graveyard of a very old church, Feldkirch, demolished in 1780.
For 30 years the city has expanded, but tourists will discover with pleasure many old houses carefully restored.
Wettolsheim first town in the Haut-Rhin, produces the full range of wines from Alsace, including the Great Growths "Steingrubler. About 85 families of wine growers operate nearly 450 hectares of vines. Wettolsheim wines are renowned for their long-standing quality of finesse and bouquet.

The Three Castles Eguisheim: three towers, looming on the Schlossberg hill, dominating the Alsace plain to 591MS altitude. They were built in the 11th and 13th centuries. In the center, is the oldest castle Walhenbourg. In the north, schâteau Dagsbourg south, the Weckmund. Thus, this solid is an ideal place for walkers and hikers more sophisticated. However, the road is closed from November 11 to March 15.
