Built on an island by the Celts, Vue was the seat of a Gallic oppidum, surrounded by the "Murus galicus" 9 m wide and 3 meters high. They gave him the name which means Vidua tree. Vue kept its walls until the end of the wars of religion. They were razed in 1591.
