Located at the confluence of the Loire and Arzon, Vorey enjoys a privileged position. Near its source, the Loire is a river that flows through wild gorges beautiful that expand to make a case that canton.
With around 1500 inhabitants, the town of Vorey-sur-Arzon developed around a former Benedictine priory dependent Abbey Chazes whose portal is novel in Le Puy-en-Velay in the garden Henri Vinay . The town fell under the Velay province in 1789.

Vorey-sur-Arzon, is a city, mother of famous people, because he grew up three important characters: Louis Jouvet, actor and famous alumnus schools Vorey, whose father built the Pont du Chambon Vorey, Philibert Besson, "Founding Father" of the Euro which was one of the first to speak of a single currency, the Europa and finally Pierre Favier, painter Vellave site.
Gourmets will be satisfied by the regional cuisine, especially in winter with the pot Auvergne. The Puy lentils with the AOC label, mushrooms, fish, black sheep of Velay, frogs, meat and cheese of the Auvergne are all very appreciated.

- The weekly market takes place every Sunday morning and is very popular in summer.
- 5 night markets are held from 18h to 22h on Wednesdays between July 13 and August 15. These markets, which has a certificate of farmers' markets of countries, there are 8 in Haute-Loire, regional producers are also artists and artisans. A different animation for each market is organized.
- Garage sale: In the spring around mid-April, up Moulet.
- On 13 July, a picnic is held, followed by the torchlight, the fireworks of the canoe and a popular dance.

- Mills Blanlhac above Rosières. Opening in July and August: Wednesdays in July and August, starting at 14.30 mills to the parking (follow signs); Mondays in July and August 1530 in parking mills.
- Romanesque Church Chamalières-sur-Loire. Open: Open house all year opening hours of the Tourist Office in Chamalieres-sur-Loire. Guided tours in summer.

- Meeting International Balloon Festival in November each year, especially starting from the Castle and Emblavez Lavoûte-Polignac.

- Via ferrata du Puy of Juscles near Rosieres is an easy via ferrata where the path may be done as a family.
