North of the Côte-d'Or, near Champagne, Vix is a quiet village crossed by the Seine.

In 1953, an important archaeological discovery made him famous: a tomb "princely" dating from the 4th century BC and containing such an impressive gold necklace and a bronze urn to 1.60 m high. This treasure is exhibited in the Museum of Chatillon-sur-Seine.
