Nestled in the heart of the Vosges Mountains, just outside of Alsace, Ventron, small family resort, in green and natural, welcomes you all year round.

The village has 958 inhabitants (Véternats) for an area of 2 500 ha.

Ventron originates from the Germanic word "winter" (winter).

The village center is located at 640 m altitude. The ski resort "Brother Joseph", also known as "The Tracks of Ventron", is located 4 km from the center, 900 m altitude (slopes from 900 to 1100 m altitude).

Ventron is famous for its Chapel of the Hermitage Frere Joseph (monument) was built in 1757 by residents in honor of the kindness of Peter Joseph Formet who, driven from his birthplace retired here in the forest .
