13 km east of Charny - 11 km northeast of Verdun.

Vaux-devant-Damloup is a village destroyed by since, being at the limit of the "red zone" has been rebuilt, over time, a new village, just near the old destroyed village which has the same characteristics as his eight companions in misfortune.

Belonging to the Chapter of Verdun before the Revolution, it has always been a thriving village in its history.

The presence of nearby Fort de Vaux was still somewhat upset the course of the history of the village.
