The common Urrugne has the distinction of being considered a village, but is actually one of the largest municipalities in the Basque Country, since it extends over 5000 hectares. It offers a wide variety of landscapes from the mountain cliffs of the famous Corniche Basque dominated by the coastal footpath.

In addition, Urrugne shares a border with Spain and is thus close to major Spanish cities such as Irun, Hondarribia and San Sebastian.

• Corniche Basque:

• Listed under Major Sites of Aquitaine, she is 7 km long.

• St. Vincent's Church:

• Chapel Socorri:

• The Chapel of Our Lady of Good Help or Socorri, located atop a hill overlooking Urrugne, is a place of pilgrimage and a famous hiking destination in the region.
• It is reasonable to assume that the foundation of the chapel dates from the early 17th century, the Basque Country underwent a resurgence of Marian devotion.
• Thus, it is a historical fact which would justify it: it is that in 1627 under the support of the sailors at Hendaye siege of La Rochelle, the convoy of armed assistance in Bayonne and St. Jean-de Luz is close to the Ile de Ré occupied by the English. • Mount Calvary:

• The Oratory of Kalbario is situated atop a hill at 279 m altitude in the southern territory of Urrugne at the foot of Mount Xoldokogaina.
• You can get there easily by borrowing from cervical Courlecou, ​​a very accessible hiking trail (path Xoldoko gana), passing close to the farm Larretxekoborda. A walk of less than 30 minutes leads to the summit of Mount Calvary.
• Since the 18th century at least, a Calvary stood atop the hill that became known as Mount Calvary, or the Basque Kalbarioa. Before the Revolution, in addition to Calvary, stood on the platform crowning the summit, a chapel and the dwelling of a hermit.
• During battles of 1793 and 1794, calvary, chapel and shrine were destroyed. Since then, only the foundations of walls, ruins and piles of stones recall the past existence of this high place of worship.
• In 1968, restoration work was undertaken, a small chapel was built at the southeast corner of the location of the dwelling of the hermit whose foundations were leveled and retained. A wooden cross about 8 feet high was installed. The complex was surrounded by large stones of slate stuck in the ground, preventing access to livestock.
• The large cross, shot by the bad weather in 1997 and was replaced in April 2008.
