History: The Painter of Louis XIV, Charles Le Brun, is descended from inhabitants of Ully-Saint-Georges. If his father, Nicolas Le Brun was born in Crouy-en-Thelle, his grandfather, Francois Le Brun was born in Ully-Saint-Georges October 15, 1550, and his great-grandfather was also born around 1525 in Ully-Saint-Georges.
