Troo is one of the most unusual and picturesque villages in France. The site and its layout are very specific: the terraces, caves, cave dwellings and stairs that connect the streets, or rather the paths between them.

The history dates back to the 11th century Troo. The interpretation is the most common hole, an allusion to dig caves that hill. Troo is the English spelling (Trôo was occupied by the English Plantagenet time) or Angevin old.
