Beaujolais Village-specific construction of the houses of golden stones, Theizé also benefits from an exceptional situation of the surrounding valleys. It is a village full of many walking trails that will take the visitor to the vineyards or in the woods to discover its heritage. On foot, by bike or on horseback, tours findings are available at City Hall. Rochebonne Castle: In the fourteenth century, the castle was one of the areas Theizé chapter of St. John. It was the time when the English were all war. In fear to see fall into enemy hands (those of the Late-comers) and become a mighty fortress, the canons of Lyon counts razed in 1363.
