Small village built around a hill on the border of Uzège, Tharaux proudly shows its traditional houses built of stone and the remains of its medieval past.

Perched on its rocky outcrop, Tharaux has preserved its character protected site, with its winding pedestrian streets, shaded and cool.

The village offers an exceptional view of the entrance of the gorge Ceze. You can also footpaths from the village to discover the typical vegetation and changing home to fauna and flora, rich and partly protected. They lead you through shaded valleys to gorge Cèze ... Throughout these trails, you will find potholes, caves, dolmens, clap, mas ... and you can admire the many views available in the Cevennes, the Alps, the Tanargue.
