The spire of the college since 1516 protects the city and its surroundings. Random small alleys you discover the 16th century houses, fountains, oriel windows, towers and fortifications from the 14th and 15th century, the banks of the Rhine. In 20 minutes you reach the ruins of the castle Engelbourg, and enjoy a beautiful view over the vineyards of Rangen and the plain of Alsace. Thann is part of the network of cities "most beautiful detours of France".

• Collegiate St. Theobald, mostly Gothic. The best representation of Alsace after the Gothic cathedral of Strasbourg. • The Church of St. Dominic of Old Thann is one of the oldest Marian shrines in Alsace, founded in 991 by the bishop of Strasbourg. The building boasts two outstanding stained glass: the axial bay of the choir, whose upper part represents the Passion of Christ in the arms of Austria, and Burgundy Ferrette and that of the Virgin Mary Tree of Jesse (1466), probably the finest of Alsace. The chancel contains a 15th century monstrance Wall using tabernacle. But the Holy Sepulchre, in yellow sandstone, one of the finest of Alsace, is the jewel of the building.
• The road crests and the Grand Ball: It is accessible from Willer-sur-Thur (by Col Amic), runs 77 km. Drawn on the ridge, the road passes through the Grand Ballon (highest point of the Vosges mountains: 1424 m, which offers a 360 ° view of the Alsatian plain), the Markstein, Col de la Schlucht to reach Santa Maria aux-Mines.
• Route Joffre was built during the first world war to supply the front of Vieil-Armand and provide communication between the valleys of the Thur and Doller. During World War II, Route Joffre found its military role in allowing access to Thann.
