The common Tessy-sur-Vire lies between the landing beaches and Mont Saint Michel in the heart of the Valley of the Vire. With its hedges garnished with fruit and birds in wooded slopes and thick, floating on the Vire and touching the wall rocks of Ham, the Joint Tessy-sur-Vire offers a real waterfall landscape.

Ancient medieval Tessy-sur-Vire, despite having suffered the bombing of 1944, guard houses solid granite.

The town had a 17th century castle, the castle Fincell. Destroyed in 1978, remains its thatched dovecote.
