Alternately Provence, Savoie, French, Italian, French and again, the common Tende is the largest of the Alpes-Maritimes with nearly 17 747 hectares. Bounded on the north by the Pass Tende and the Italian border, it includes part of the Mercantour National Park with the prestigious valleys in Wonderland, and of Fontanalbe Valmasque Agglomerations Tende and St Dalmas, the hamlets of Vievola, Granile, and Casterino Canaresse. An important step on the road with salt and Sospel Breil, it is one of the largest towns in the High Country Maritime Alps.

• The old town, the Museum of Wonders, which also offers temporary exhibitions, baroque churches that are open every day, the chapels, the home of honey and bees.
• The Mercantour National Park: park mountain spanning 68 500 hectares of the neck up Tende Ubaye encompassing the valleys of Wonderland, and of Fontanalbe Valmasque located on the town.
• The Valley of Wonders: One of the richest collections of rock carvings in Europe, open, with more than 40 000 engravings of the copper age and bronze. Included on the list of proposals for World Heritage of UNESCO.
• Pass Tende: 19th century military fortifications that line the ridge border with Italy (visit buildings not permitted). Mount Rose is visible in good weather and golden eagles and vultures have made their territory. Purpose of a vast tourist complex in conjunction with the resort of Limone Piemonte, some of these strengths will be restored soon.
• To the athletes are offered activities such as mountain biking, equestrian, 4x4 excursions, hiking, golf, paragliding, via ferrata, the ball games, fishing, swimming pool in summer. In winter, enjoy cross country skiing, ski touring, hiking in dog sledding, snowshoeing and walks in the Nordic area Castérino.

• The second Sunday of July is hosted by the feast of Saint Eloi, patron saint of mule with at a parade of mules harnessed bright colors, local dances, ball on the Town Hall Square, entertainment all week- end.
• The weekend before August 15 hosts Great Day Peasant with stalls selling local products (cheese, honey, crafts ...) and demonstrations such as milking cows, shearing sheep. .. Very lively and quality (such as products offered), this festival is popular with visitors and family, more and more each year.
