Alternately Provence, Savoy, French, Italian, French and again, the common Tende is the largest of the Alpes-Maritimes with about 17 747 hectares. Bounded on the north by the Pass Tende and the Italian border, it includes part of the Mercantour National Park including the prestigious valleys Wonders of Fontanalbe and Valmasque Agglomerations Tende and St Dalmas, the hamlets of Viévola, Granile, and Casterino Canaresse. Milestone on the road with salt and Breil Sospel, it is one of the biggest towns of the High Country Maritime Alps.

• The Mercantour National Park: park mountain spanning 68 500 hectares cervical Tende until Ubaye, encompassing the valleys of the Wonders of Fontanalbe and Valmasque located on the town.

For athletes, are offered activities such as mountain biking, equestrian, 4x4 excursions, hiking, golf, paragliding, via ferrata, playing ball, fishing, swimming pool in summer. In winter you can go skiing, ski touring, walking the dog sled and snowshoe walks in the area of northern Casterino. Nearby (20 minutes by car) is the ski resort of Limone Piemonte (Italy).
