A small village of about 600 inhabitants, Staple is a charming village located in the "Heart of Flanders". Nestled in the countryside surrounding the Mont Cassel to 176 yards. From Staple can be seen, the mill at the top of Cassel.

Formerly Staple was a village, where they dispensed justice, and over thirty small houses used in cafes, where hikers or workers who went to the fields, could water their thirst.

There is still an old forge, which is no longer active.

• A 20 km: Black Mountain, and the home of Marguerite Yourcenar, where writers come to relax in this beautiful park.
