City Schoelcher has 22,908 inhabitants and an area of 2 295 ha. A 8000 km from Paris, located in the center of Martinique, north gate Caribbean Schoelcher City is 4 km from the capital Fort-de-France and 14 km from the airport "Aimé Césaire".

It is through gratitude to Victor Schoelcher, great French abolitionist, in 1888 the inhabitants of Ship Case, decided to rename Schoelcher. Schoelcher offers a variety of activities and landscapes through which tourism is combined with tourism blue.
