The Land of Salviac in Bouriane lies in the Lot, between Quercy and Périgord. 40 km north-west of Cahors and 30 km south of Sarlat, a country soothing and full of charm is offered to you.

Salviac, capital of Canton, lies in a green valley at the confluence of two streams charming: the Easter and Ourajou. You are on the Chemin de St Jacques de Compostela (GR652) (variant of Rocamadour La Romieu).

The gastronomic specialties of the country are derivatives of duck and goose (pâté, foie gras, cracklings ...)

• The church of Saint-Jacques-le-Majeur of Salviac, Romanesque-Gothic edifice was rebuilt about 1280 on the initiative of the future Pope John XXII. Its roof is covered with slate (stone slabs), cover typical of the Quercy-Perigord.
