Small village bordering the Dordogne, Salles-Lavalette brings together some 335 inhabitants. The town lies in Occitan and is one of the boundaries with the langue d'oil. The remote location of major cities of Angouleme and Perigueux in fact a place to live and quiet reign.
Salles-Lavalette gastronomic specialties include both those of the Perigord and Charente. It is therefore possible to enjoy a good foie gras as the famous "Cagouilles" slippers.
The vineyards of Cognac raced down the slopes before communal ravaged by phylloxera in the 18th century. Large converted cellar and a few mansions recall this auspicious time. July: Day sartyi Mill. Country Farmers Market, a tour of the mill, the possibility of on-site catering, musical entertainment.
In September: Demonstration of tractor pulling.
Early December: Christmas market with pig on a spit. Carriage rides and tours for children. Farmers Market and local artisans.

You can make as many walks and cycling trails qu'équestres around Salles-Lavalette. Similarly, in all the villages around you can admire the many Romanesque churches.
Salles-Lavalette is located 16 km from the Parc Naturel Régional Périgord Limousin, hiking and beautiful scenery not to be missed!
A Montmoreau St. Cybard is a municipal swimming pool for adults and children. Attention, open in summer season only! Located near the sports complex and stadium.
Brantome in the Perigord: Nicknamed the Venice of Perigord and located in the Périgord Vert, the village offers many essential activities such as canoeing, night tours ... Many restaurants where you can taste the specialties of the region for all prices. In summer regattas every Thursday evening.
Aubeterre sur Dronne: Located on the banks of the Dronne, this small village, ranked among the most beautiful villages in France, is full of wonders to discover, such as the monolithic church, the museum located on the main square in the heart of this small village typical.
