  • In 1824, two municipalities named respectively "St. Crispin" and "Carlucet" come together to form Saint-Crépin-et-Carlucet. • Passing Eyvigues, returning from a walk on the trail of fountains, you linger in the old village of Eyvigues. You will find simplicity and authenticity. The village is still organized as 50 years ago although it has changed thanks to some new construction or renovation. Besides the church and the old school, two houses stand out: the gentleman at the bottom of the village with its ancient architecture and the old rectory built in the mid-19th floors with its singularity. The smaller houses are old farm houses still operating a few decades ago. The barns and buildings for cattle are suitable for subsistence agriculture. The status of plots crossed by paths and fountains still attests perceptibly a lifestyle that ended when the 50s. The abandonment of the fountain in 1952, is the event that best symbolized the end of the period.
