Sainte-Terre is a town of 1,700 inhabitants located along the Dordogne, in the region of Bordeaux wines.
Upon returning from the First Crusade, a little land of Palestine was reported widely at the highest point of the village. It built the church in the 11th century (now classified in the additional inventory of Historic Monuments) then called Terra Sancta. It was she who gave his name to the village of Sainte-Terre located on one of the roads to Saint Jacques de Compostela.
Fishing village, a fishery existed in the 15th century Lavagnac. Today commercial fishermen perpetuate this activity with fishing for migratory fish (lampreys, shad, eels, elvers).
