The remains of a megalithic monument, "The Fairies' Gallery", and Gallo-Roman ruins are evidence of ancient human use.

Much of the city and the old church were burned during the Revolution.

The municipality is located in the heart of the Pays de Retz, halfway between Nantes and the Côte de Jade.

• The municipality of Sainte-Pazanne can be explored through three hiking trails: the circuit of the Roche aux Fees, 7 km of discovery of the grove, the circuit of the Aqueduct, 9.5 km through the villages, vineyards, and the circuit in the South, 25 km, which takes you south of the commune in the agricultural part. Their starting point is located at the entrance to the playground near the hall call, and the paths are marked in yellow.
