History:

Situated on the Roman road leading to Oisseau-le-Petit, the village would have seen the installation of a Gallic villa. Aerial photographs attest to this idea. Although its origins seem very old, its history is little known by cons its development is directly linked to the history of Fresnay-sur-Sarthe, neighboring municipality.

Its economy has long been based on agriculture.
