Under the Old Regime, there were 2 parishes: Saint Pardoux Isaac. Pope Clement V, reflects the union of these places of worship in a letter to Lyons dated November 19, 1305. These parishes were abolished in 1792. In 1803, Saint Pardoux was attached to the Township of Lauzun.

Today Saint-Pardoux-Isaac is a semi-rural town that is distinguished by its many supermarkets.
