A little history: The name of the town comes from a 3rd century Aquitaine Saint (or Saint-Saint-Loubert Loubès). Saint-Loubert was a site occupied since the 4th or 5th century by a Gallo-Roman. At the same location, a Merovingian necropolis has been excavated. The trapezoidal shape of sarcophagi unearthed probably date from the 6th or 7th century.
Heritage:
The church was built Saint-Loubert the 11th century on the foundations of the Gallo-Roman. She is the type Bazadais, and has the distinction of being disoriented, turned to the north and south. It is built on a very steep slope, which justifies the stairs that lead down to the nave. The device of small square stones that forms the lower walls of the nave, typical of early Romanesque art of Biscay, has to date the building. The bell was blessed in 1787 by Jean Ferran, pastor of the parish. The bell tower, characteristic of Romanesque churches in Bazadais, has two bays, but home to only this single bell.
The mill was built in Vernet two sides over the ruins of an earlier mill which existed in Roman times. The first dates from the Middle Ages, early 17th century, the second in 1870.

In addition to his career school fly fishing on the Carp, the town was in 2000 with a pediment of pala, open access.
In addition, the town lies on the route of the hiking trails of Langon, and has a lodge that can accommodate hikers.
