Saint-Laurent-Médoc is located between Bordeaux and the Pointe de Grave, nestled among the most prestigious wines Médoc wine. Its area is about 13 600 hectares, of which 7 800 hectares of forest. It includes 32 villages over three houses grouped and 27 places. Its population is around 4 000.

Even before the capture of Jerusalem, the Order of St. John who participated in many crusades to Benon built a hospital and chapel can be visited.

• The Church of Benon 12th and 13th centuries:

• A 5 kilometers west of Saint-Laurent-Médoc is Benon Church, an historic monument in 1972.
• The history of this church as we know it today, is closely related to the first Commandery hospital located in the Médoc. The Hospitallers around 1155, built the Commandery provided with a hospital (now defunct) to accommodate the pilgrims and to the west of the chapel.
• This monument is an outstanding example of architecture of the military orders. It is subject to restoration under the leadership of the Association of Friends of Notre-Dame de Benon, who was able to revive this place, which still sees pass today the pilgrims of Saint-Jacques.

• The Fountain Bernos back to Celtic times. It is surrounded by many legends.
• The estates, at number 20 on 500 hectares of vineyards.

• Market every Friday morning instead of church.
• Two associations, the Twinning Committee Saint-Laurent - Manage and Grenier Médoc, to get together every two years in August, the delegation of the Order of Saint Lawrence Manage, city of Belgium with which is a match.
