The town spreads on both sides of the upper valley of the Auzen between 400 and 1300 meters altitude. Five county roads serve as the national road RN122.

The bottom of the village has several houses dating from the seventeenth, they are placed along the old paved road through which the stream of Fallole instead said the "Gua" (ford in French) goes to Privas through the hamlet of Intres and common Ajoux.

Like its neighbors, has experienced the Saint-Julien-du-Gua "dragonnades" after revocation of the Edict of Nantes and these abuses have led groups in some villages.

• Church: the church is a Romanesque building stripped, it is dedicated to St. Julien in Brioude martyred. The legend says it was built on foundations dating back a thousand years. • War memorial made of limestone Alissas it is on the church square, it has the form of an obelisk topped by a cross of war. You can see the list of fighters who died during the wars of 14-18 and 39-45. It was erected by public subscription in the early 1920s.
• Public schools: two schools in the village before. One for the boys on the road to St. Pierreville has been converted into a multipurpose room. The other route from Saint-Sauveur, former girls' school, and now co-educational school. Both were built in the last years of the nineteenth.
• Veterans picturesque bridges: There are three particularly remarkable built during the 1st third of the nineteenth, they are all in a masonry arch. The first is located near the village of Saint-Julien-du-Gua on the old road to Grézière beside the Auzen it crosses the stream of nicoule. Another said "wooden bridge" (when it is built in stone!) Allows passage on Auzenet, flowing from Auzen. It lies on the old road connecting the hamlet of Sagna Ajoux.
