In the 1830s, Saint-Jean knows the manner of sea bathing soon became therapeutic recreation for the wealthy. The houses are multiplying in the 1910s and 1920s, especially under the influence of Charles Kula. After 1936, sea bathing was popularized. The beach huts become shelters holiday.
From August 19 to September 21, 1944, General Eisenhower resides with his personal staff in the property of Montgomery. For six weeks, the village is a strategic point in the Western world.
With its 410 inhabitants in the year, its 500 houses and summer residents, St. John came in the 3rd millennium against all odds, housed in the hollow of the beautiful bay of Mont Saint-Michel, splashed by the Wonder West.
