Saint-Hilaire-les-Places, scored "4 flowers", gold medal 2001 European Competition for Towns and villages in bloom, offering an annual quality flowers worth the trip. This floral highlights the Notre-Dame, dating from the 17th century and houses quarry granite quarried blue Saint-Hilaire for more than half of the 20th century.

Found that flowering in the village of Old Saint-Hilaire, the historic heart of the town where stands the Romanesque church of the 12th century, recently renovated and which have been updated with beautiful frescos of the origin of the church. Stained glass lately signed Lea Sham's embellish this place.

Saint-Hilaire-les-Places combines tradition and modernity. Indeed, a museum shop of the earth can pass on to younger generations the skills of many tile makers who exploited the clay soil of the south of the town. Today two more tile craftsmanship are active, producing the flat tile that gives its character to the structure of the country. Courses of clay are offered year round for children and adults.

The town of Saint-Hilaire-les-Places has developed a tourism industry around Lake Boat and beach. It is an ideal place for trekking on foot, by bicycle, on horseback, but also for the practice of fishing for carp or predator.
