A village in the religious past, ancient Gallo-Roman villa called Nobiliacum then become Saint-Gondon the 9th century during the transfer of relics of the hermit Gundulfus.

There are over 1100 years the village has this name. During the revolution, the village had to be called the Tower Condon, Condon and the Fountain, to finally find the name of Saint-Gondon-sur-Loire.

Specialties: Andouille Saint-Gondon and ostrich farming.
