Saint-Germain-de-Belvès is a small village in the Black Perigord 145 inhabitants perched on a hill where we discover the valley Siorac-en-Perigord, the capital of Canton, Belvès. The site has been occupied since Neolithic times, the village is part of the 6 parishes in the lordship of Berbiguières. The town was fortified as evidenced by an act of construction of the April 14, 1495. Originally named St. Germain Berbiguières, the town changed its name after the Revolution, 5 Fructidor year 3. Today Saint-Germain-de-Belvès preserves a Romanesque church, rebuilt in the 19th and mansions of the 16th and 18th century and chartreuse.

Its traditions are those of any country village.
