Town located 43 kilometers southwest of Chartres.

Saint-Denis-d'Authou was originally a Roman villa and a site as evidenced by the Merovingian sarcophagi discovered in the woods of Mézeray. The same site of the castle of Mézeray before its reconstruction in the 18th century, was the residence of the lords of Authou.

Saint-Denis-d'Authou is a small village in the Eure-et-Loir and the Central Region. Its inhabitants are called the Dionysian and the Dionysian.

The municipality covers 22.2 km ² and 510 inhabitants in the 2007 census. With a density of 22.9 inhabitants per km ², Saint-Denis-d'Authou had a net increase of 16.4% of its population by 1999.

Surrounded by the common Frétigny, and Montlandon The Gaudaine, Saint-Denis-d'Authou is located 37 km south west of Luce's largest city nearby.

The river and the river Thiron Vinette are the main rivers that cross the town. Saint-Denis-d'Authou is a municipality of the Regional Natural Park of Perche.

• The Church of St. Denis is Romanesque:

• Apse rounded quadrangular tower with twin bays south of the nave roof paneling. If the altarpiece of the main altar is classic, polished wood with decorations of gold, columns and Corinthian pilasters, the stone side altars are painted imitation marble on a mass of masonry. We notice some interesting statues including wood, and a tombstone from 1545.
• The font, dating from the 16th century originals. Under a coffered arch, a building shaped cabinet is topped by a small circular temple. This furniture is classified in the supplementary inventory of historic monuments and has been wonderfully restored. On this occasion the discovery of the engraving "1556" on its summit was possible to date precisely the baptistery. The church is surrounded by stone walls of St. Denis, marking the old cemetery closed, now decommissioned and converted into a place for walking and rest.

• Chapelle Saint-Hilaire-des-Noyers and Oratory of Our Lady of Deliverance:

• Former parish and municipality, was united with St Hilaire St Denis by royal decree in 1826. Remains of the old parish church of St Hilaire 11th century, abandoned in 1800 after the assassination of his pastor and demolished in 1840, the choir was converted into a chapel.
• The Chapel of square plan, extended once by a porch has a timber known as "herringbone forming farms" in very good condition dated 1198 after dendrochronological analysis. A curious altar stone, painted white, with a frieze of flowers on the architrave, the wall bar. Restored in 1991, listed in the supplementary inventory of historic monuments, one can see a mural of the 16th century and two statues: St. Sebastian and St. Barbara.
